Tenzin Sangmo is a Tibetan journalist, born and brought up in India. She studied Media Technologies and worked as a blogger before joining Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism from 2016 to 2017. She is interested in covering human rights and Arts and Culture. She has reported for the first Tibetan English language news portal Phayul, made a short documentary on Tibetan mani stone carvers called ‘Blunting Chisel’, and collaborated on Tibetan documentation projects as a translator. She is currently working as a research and media officer for the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD), based in Dharamshala, India.
